LOVE YOUrself

During all the history the human being has been looking for answers, maybe sometimes even without knowing the questions…

I found the answer to everything: LOVE.

Not in a Hollywood way, the opposite, the natural way, with imperfections, love that naturally comes from within us, just perfect!

During our life we are being learned to follow all the other people like examples for our life , but why aren’t we the good example for our own life?

It’s not easy to raise another human being, so maybe it was more easy to create heroes in order to raise the kids up. To be like the other persons looking how the others do. Maybe it could be better to make us secure about that we can do everything, as well where to find the answer for all the questions in the same place where they are coming from: from within. From ourselves.

No one can live another person’s life. You may imitate another person and give everything in order to accomplish that,  but you will never be someone else. So why spend hours in front of the TV or computer watching lives of other people, why the need to idolize another human being that is just like you?

Wouldn’t it be better to also teach kids on how to meditate, and get better results than only teaching them history only to be like another hero, nor to avoid the mistakes of another person?

Once I heard from a teacher of publicity and marketing, that the goal of a good publisher is to make people unhappy so they will do more to be happy. Happy people don’t buy as much as unhappy people do. So where does this go? Unhappy people that is not happy with themselves, who even get to the point of killing themselves and to poison themselves only searching for the happy life that you see on the screen? Isn’t that completely insane?

If you think about it, millions of human beings kill themselves per year only with alcohol, sugar, sweeteners, chemicals, fat or no fat products, drugs, etc… and the most ironical part is that they pay for it.

So the solution for this is to LOVE YOURSELF. The global problem can only be solved by an individual change. So start to love yourself. And take really good care of yourself, in all the meaning of the word, so you will accept yourself and the love will grow in you so big, that you will love everything around you, and from the love more love will grow. It is a simple formula.

My best start is to see the good things in me, and make that more important than the bad, and what I can do to make my life better.To care for myself, and therefore be more happier, I will make everything to make my surroundings happy. I will make my life happier!! and I hope in my way I will inspire another people to love themselves…

So make my work easier and don’t listen to the TV or the media: you are perfect!!! love yourself and if you change anything do it just for you 🙂

Mate , Mate , Mate!!!

Now i will introduce you to one of my favorite drinks: The mate!!

This is one of my favorite teas, if not THE TEA!

It’s a tea from south america, the traditional and the biggest favorite for Argentinians, this drink is a huge source of energy: mateina, that’s an equivalent to the caffeine but with not secondary effects,  maybe that’s why Brazilians and Argentinians are the best in playing football (soccer), maybe we should ask Diego Armando Maradona or Leo Messi? 😉 .

Mate is my best tip for dieting and it’s a great partner all through my life.

Mate contains several vitamins and minerals important to human health, including vitamins A (as beta carotene), B1, B2, C and E, as well as phosphorus, iron  and calcium.

The quantity of antioxidants is superior to almost all the drinks. Helping you also to stay younger 😉 and Isn’t that what we all want?

The flavor is super bitter the first time you drink it.My little demon from inside sometimes tempted me to make a little joke to my friends, so I let them taste the first mate without any sweetener, the face of the poor victim is priceless 😉 so don’t try it at home with out any sweetener, my advice is with Stevia, natural and soft taste.

It’s possible to drink it like a tea, but the original and the good version of Mate is served with a metal straw from a shared hollow calabash gourd called mate. The straw is called a bombilla . The straw is traditionally made of silver. Modern, commercially available straws are typically made of nickel silver, called Alpaca; stainless steel, or hollow-stemmed cane.

As with other brewed herbs, yerba mate leaves are dried, chopped, and ground into a powdery mixture called yerba. The bombilla acts as both a straw and a sieve. The submerged end is flared, with small holes or slots that allow the brewed liquid in, but block the chunky matter that makes up much of the mixture. A modern bombilla design uses a straight tube with holes, or spring sleeve to act as a sieve.

You can drink it all the day, it’s so tasty after a while you wont forget in any place! is also the best to purify the system for its diuretic and natural laxative properties, so the only disadvantage that you shouldn’t drink in the evening because its so energizing that you wont be able to sleep. So for the hand it will give a boost for starting a great day!!

So I advice you with all my heart, try it, give it a chance for a week and after that it will be your friend for life 😀

After trying for just a little bit more than a week. I am totally convinced! I love “Bicing” and its great concept of bike sharing here in Barcelona. If I´m alone to see the clever in this? No! Almost 105.000 citizens are using this service and the popularity is growing. In Barcelona bikes are stolen all the time and you´re recommended to invest the same amount of money on your locks, as you did on your bike in the first place. …but, with Bicing, you´ll need no more worries my friend. You don´t need to carry your bike up and down the stairs…

Proteins: the key to success

Is well know that proteins are our fuel. Either if it is  from animal or vegetarian source, it will give us more time the sensation of full stomach and plenty energy, so is perfect for lunch, to give more fuel to our day.

I don’t to eat so much proteins by dinner, my grandma used to tell me that to eat meat by night gives you bad dreams, now I see the logic about being with a lot energy only to go sleep maybe is not the best.

For the other side I highly recommend to eat a lot of green an every meals, so that will satisfy your stomach, full your digestive system with good fibers and it help to digest  meats 😀 ,my lunch was like this: plain meat, with a large lettuce, cucumber and onion salad, a little spoon of olive oil, vinager and… bon apetitte 🙂

The Yummy Gazpacho

Gazpacho is one of my favorite dishes. This cold soup is low in calories, high in fibers, it makes a super fresh meal on warm summer days. It is also excellent for dinner. It makes me go to sleep feeling light!!

Gazpacho is a traditional meal from Spain. It is said that the soup is like love, every family has their own recipe for it!! …so, voila my low calories super tasty recipe!! enjoy 🙂

  1. 3 pounds tomatoes, cored and coarsely chopped
  2. 2 seedless cucumber, peeled and coarsely chopped
  3. 2 red bell peppers, coarsely chopped
  4. 1 jalapeño, seeded and coarsely chopped
  5. 2  onions, coarsely chopped
  6. 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
  7. 1  tea spoon  extra-virgin olive oil
  8. Salt and freshly ground pepper
  9. 2 celery sticks
  10. green pepper
  11. capers.
  12. chopped parsley.

So we take 1 onion, 1 cucumber, the tomatoes, jalapeños, the red bell peppers, the vinegar and the oil.Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and refrigerate for two hours (if you have time, if not, it will be more liquid but still ok).In a blender, puree the vegetables until smooth. Strain the soup into a deep bowl, season with salt and pepper, and serve with the other onion, cucumber, green pepper chopped, the parsley and the capers y buen apetito!!!

The holy routine: mealtime

Our body it’s a perfect machine, timer included 😉 the best to help our body with the diggestion it’s to go on with times and order, so the more we respect the mealtimes the better the body will feel, off course according with our activities of this era, we need to be logical and make our best to give all the support to our body, at the end is our home 😀

So like the old said goes: Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a duke and dinner like a farmer.

For me is better to eat 5,4 or at less 3 hours before we go to sleep. It makes a huge difference on my body.

Snack are good sometimes. After exercises we need some pottasium or naturals sugar, but in order and limited. In the ’70 the English chocolate companies needed to improve their profit, so was create the famous snack, here we have a little bit more explained the subject, by the way if you have more time watch all the documentaries of “The men who made us fat” is genius, excellent work from the journalist!! I really recommend it!!! so pay attention in the min 10:07, so if you will have a snack make sure to have a tasty carrots or fruits!! energy but not processed sugar 😀

So if between this meals, and snack you still  feel hungry, my best solution for that it’s water!! and if it’s too “boring” add a drop of lemon and a mint leaf. Delicious!!!

Funky Chicken

Here is my first easy, fast and tasty recipe:

  • plain chicken breast, without skin or fat.
  • 2 garlic cloves.
  • mushroom
  • spinach
  • turmeric
  • salt
  • curry
  • pepper
  • cumin
  • oregano
  • one tea spoon of olive oil

Preheat a pan, add a spoon of oil, then the garlic, the chicken breast chopped in cubes, the mushroom sliced in small pieces, the fresh spinach, add a little bit of lemon juice and  all the condiments, cook it in a low temperature, and voilà bon appètit!!!

You can eat the quantity you want, but remember with proportion!! Eat for feed yourself not over stuff  yourself with food!! You will feel much much more light and happy 😀

Breakfast!!

Is one of the most important meals but this doesn’t mean that we need to overload our bodies with calories and unnecessary fat!! In my first 2 weeks of this “metamorphosis” , I will change a few habits for my own good!! so start the day with drink, drink, drink!!!!

  1. Water: before anything water. Lets give to the body a boost of water, our essence, the best way to trigger the metabolism is to drink one bigggg glass of water.
  2. No more white bread, only a hole grain bread, white flour is pure processed sugar, and almost no fiber inside, ONLY ONE PIECE!! will do the work.
  3. FRUITS!!! si, si, si, source of vitamins, energizing, helping our body to produce the “good bacteria”  for our system, and good sugar!! natural, natural, natural!! and no juices, we need our body to understand that we are having food, not starving ourselves, so no matter which fruit (included banana is really good!!), give to your body THE GOOD STUFF!!
  4. Coffee, tea, Mate (my favorite one 😉 ), chai, Rooiboos, green tea, make teas with different flavors your best friend, it will help you a lot!! and it’s much better than the old caffeine shot.
  •  No sugar. Refined sugar is out of our life in these two first week.
  • No artificial sweeteners. Maybe at the beginning it’s not so funny, but with the time, your brain will enjoy the taste of plain beverages, so no cheat in a solitary game.
  • No milk. Milk we need to over digest, so we gonna make things easier for our stomach, and at the same time we will feel more light and healthy.

Water the source of life…

One “bad habit” of society today, is drinking flavored drinks.

Think about this: every time that your body needs the intake of liquid in order to avoid dehydration, you give your system a crazy quantity of sugar!! …that your body doesn’t appreciate, and sugar just get “glued to your fat”, in the best of the case. Without counting about the chemical ballet, that this kind of drink contains, you can´t keep natural juices more than 12 hours without preservatives, so you see how “natural” this is.

The human being is an animal with habits, so if you get used to the idea of that “water is boring”, congratulations!!! You just won a lifetime contract, to pay and to make beverage companies really rich. They fool you through publicity showing beautiful people, that in most of the cases would never get even close to that type of drinks!! 😉

So my advice is: drink water whenever you are thirsty, believe me it is really energizing, leave the juice, and other drinks for special occasions only, and if it is really hard, just boil herbs, let it cool down and keep it in your fridge and no sugar!! Your wallet and your body are gonna be totally thankful…

My journey

How to start this?? well,  here I go…

After a few new experiences in my life, changes of places, happiness, sadness, work ( a lot of work),and one kilogram, then 2, 3, ,4, till 20 OMG!! I find myself in a point that I need a change, because i love myself the best!! I know that sounds like trumpets of narcissism are around, but it is really far away from that, the changes need to come from inside… WE NEED TO LOVE OURSELVES!! …and specially our bodies. Those are the only thing that goes with us until we die, so we gonna start to love this little fellow that is our earthly being… ❤

Lets face it, most of the time, we worry about how people is gonna look at us, more than if our hope of life for us is getting shorter, or in our future we will have the need of little needles to inject in our  bodies  insulin in order to survive. And the most funny thing is the fact of being  in front of the TV looking at the models that we want be.

Everything change when you gain some kilos, the body tell you that you are doing something wrong, really wrong,the more kilos you gain the more harder it is for you to move, so the more weight you gain, the bigger your apettite  is gonna be, it is a bad loop, and it is not easy to get out of it.

Besides I substitute the TV by computer, I will start to change the “bad habits” for good ones… so this blog will be my logbook, and I hope that during the process of this “metamorphosis” I also will help a lot of people out there, or at least give them a few tips that will do the work 😉 !!!

So here’s go my first tip:

Change your life only for your good, love yourself, then the love to another it will be real and sincere.
